Meet the Owner
The owner of Misto grew up in Philadelphia before moving to New York, but his roots are deeply embedded in Italy. Coming from a family with many years of experience in the restaurant industry, he carries on a proud legacy. His mother, father, aunts and uncles emigrated from Italy to the U.S. to establish a series of successful pizzerias, restaurants, and bars in the suburbs near Philadelphia City. Growing up, the owner spent much of his life traveling between Italy and the U.S., immersing himself in Italian culture, traditions and most importantly, its cuisine. His love for food, especially pizza, was nurtured by his Italian family, with strong Calabrese and Sicilian influences. Opening Misto was a lifelong dream, allowing him to share his passion for Italian food, keeping alive the culinary traditions passed down through generations. For him, food is not just a business but a way to stay connected to his heritage, bringing the flavors of Italy to New York with every dish he creates.
